PlayersOnly and Sportsbook Poker Join Merge Gaming Network

When it was announced that PlayersOnly and Sportsbook poker where joining the merge gaming network back on April 15 people speculated that the merge would cause a significant boost in the fledging poker network. Merge Gaming Network traffic was on the decline for 6 months previous to the acquisition while Cake Network was on a steady increase.

Confirmation to honer all previous Cake Rewards was made by Lee Jones the Cake Poker Card Room Manager. He also stated that this will take place throughout and after the merge takes place.

Although it will take some time to see how the merge will effect both big poker networks, poker transfer services have seen an increase in transfers taking place between the new poker rooms on the Merge Gaming Network.

MasterCard Stops Transactions With US Poker and Gambling Sites

MasterCard in the past has tried to stop US Citizens from being able to deposit money into online poker and other gambling sites. Since President George Bush signed the law Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) in 2006 to not allow financial institutions to fund online poker websites.
